1972, the year that famous picture of earth was released, for the first time we were able to see our selves as a single solitary unit, one planet. A product of that year, Tathra's gift for helping us
see ourselves through fresh eyes is a factor that makes working with her effective and inspiring, not from what she contributes but how she allows what you know as an individual or group, be central and pivotal. Fascinated by how groups can
discover untapped wisdom when committed to a common task, Tathra loves to demonstrate
what we know together, that we don't know alone.
As a Canadian-raised Aussie, she developed an experience of 'global citizenry' being part of two 'western' cultures on either side of the planet. This allowed her to develop an understanding of how different people see things differently and developing a knack for illuminating the multiplicity of points of view influencing any given circumstance.
After years in the
sustainability industry, she felt compelled to do leadership work as a different angle to achieving sustainability, noting the influence of different mind sets on our place in the world. Her work includes '
world view literacy' so we can be more aware of how where we're at is shaped by how we see the world. Coming from a
deep ecology perspective, Tathra focuses on relationships,
interconnectedness
and taking inquiry below the surface, looking to
root causes, rather than tinkering around the edges.
