Year’s End Acknowledgement

posted 24 Nov 2010 03:06 by Tathra Street   [ updated 24 Nov 2010 16:48 ]

It's that time of year again. We start thinking about Christmas Parties as the way to say thank you to our staff.

Well here's a different way to say thank you, I call it the "Year's End Acknowledgement". It's about recognising the collective achievements of 2010, what individuals have done to contribute and having people acknowledge each other.

I love running these sessions, yes, it tends to be a love-in, who wouldn't enjoy helping people see not only what they have accomplished but what the whole group has achieved. This is a great way to build resilience and allow loyalty to emerge naturally in your teams.

The following is the text for the e-flyer to promote this offering:

Finish off the year with a focus on your team’s achievements.

Your team has created the accomplishments of the year.

Each of of your staff has contributed to the whole.

Do they know what it means to you

and to the business?

Year’s End Acknowledgement

A facilitated session providing a meaningful experience

of acknowledgment for your team or staff group.

Build resilience with authentic praise.

Allow for a natural sense of loyalty to emerge.

See the big picture of collective accomplishment.

Leave a lasting impression as the year draws to a close.

Mary Nasopoulous, CSL Ltd

“It was the most successful team building workshop we've done.

Highlighting the achievements was valuable because

it gave our team a chance to see how much we'’d grown,

how the strength had come through the challenges.”
